LANXESS China was awarded the honor of "50 Green Companies 2009" by China's leading business magazine Business Watch. The award recognized LANXESS’s outstanding contributions to environmental protection and social responsibility.

In its 20th edition published on August 5th 2009, the magazine announced the results of its "50 Green Company 2009" with a specific report about each winner, including many well-known enterprises, such as Sony, Henkel, General Electric, IBM and Mercedes-Benz. It gave a report with the headline "LANXESS Builds Chemical Industry with New Concept" to introduce how LANXESS sets high standards in security and environmental protection which improves productivity while reducing energy consumption and emission, and finally brings economic success.
