New milestones in India and China
India and the other BRIC countries are among the key growth markets for LANXESS. The corporate policy of the German specialty chemicals group is geared towards these emerging markets. The latest acquisitions strengthen the BRIC countries strategy of the company: LANXESS buys the Indian company Gwalior Chemical Industries and the Chinese company Jiangsu Polyols Chemical. Both are manufacturers of basic chemicals.

Chinaplas 2008:
LANXESS is presenting itself at Chinaplas 2008 (from April 17 - 20, 2008) in Shanghai, the most important plastics fair in China.

Chinaplas 2008:
The specialty chemicals group LANXESS will be presenting its portfolio at Chinaplas, Asia’s number one plastics trade fair. The metropolis of Shanghai will once again be hosting this major event, which last took place in 2006.

Butyl keeps you rolling:
From the year 2011, LANXESS is going to produce up to 100,000 metric tons of butyl rubber per annum in Singapore. A film provides insights into the manifold applications of this indispensable chemical product.

The LANXESS young.euro.classic China Tour was a complete success:
Many regional and national media reported on the concerts. CEO Axel C. Heitmann's summing up after the final concert of the tour in Tianjin was very positive: "The LANXESS young.euro.classic China Tour was a complete success. Concert in Beijing: climax of the concert tour with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao:
On August 27, the concert tour of the young.euro.classic orchestra under the baton of Tang Muhai reached its climax with a concert in Beijing at the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Zhongshan Park. The German embassy in Beijing and the China Overseas Friendship Association had invited celebrities from politics and industry to attend the concert given by the young.euro.classic orchestra. The video shows the climax of the concert tour supported by LANXESS.

On Tuesday evening, an enthusiastic audience of more than 700 accorded long-lasting applause to the German-Chinese Youth Orchestra giving the opening live concert of the LANXESS young.euro.classic Tour at the Concert Hall in Qingdao in the North East of China.

The LANXESS chemicals group is bringing one of the best youth orchestras in the world to China for the “LANXESS young.euro.classic China Tour 2007”. The ensemble, consisting of some of the most talented young musicians from Germany and China, will perform in Qingdao, Nanjing, Wuxi, Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin between August 21 and 29.
