KRCC(Korea Responsible Care Council) hosted it's yearly Out Reach Program, 'Fun Chemistry World', in Busan on 8 November 2008. The purpose of this program is to promote understanding of chemistry to children by organizing a variety of chemistry experiments. Namjoo Kang- Sales Administrator TRP, Suhun Jung-Sales Administrator BAC and Junghee Jung- General Administration from LANXESS Korea volunteered as assistants to lead teams of participating children.

Despite the weather being very windy and rainy, LANXESS Korea volunteers showed enthusiasm and their energizing LANXESS smile throughout the day. 300 students participated in the program and it was the first time to be held in Busan.

“I really had fun with children. I think it provided a good opportunity for children to understand the importance of chemical in our everyday life through a variety experiments like gardening with synthetic resin, creating static electricity and refraction of light, etc.” said Namjoo Kang.

Suhun Jung added, “Not only was the children, but I was also interested in the activities. Especially the video clip, ‘if there is no chemical’, was impressive because all most everything will disappear if there is no chemical. I have realized how important the chemical industry is.”
